The Perffaith Legacy of Perfection {Retired}

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Due to a major bug I encountered during game play I will not be continuing this legacy.

Join me for my Rags to Riches ~ Siren’s Song!

Welcome to the Perffaith Family Legacy! This legacy follows the rules and scoring from Pinstar’s Legacy Challenge. Perffaith means “perfect” in the Welsh language and is a reminder of the legacy’s exemplar trait that will be passed down from each generation to choose the next heir. Perffaith is pronounced phonetically as “per-fif”, if you are interested in hearing how it sounds out loud click here and click the speaker symbol.

Meet our founder, Gwen Perffaith, she is a creative, romantic, perfectionist who aspires to become a painter extraordinaire. Follow her and her family’s stories over 10 generations as both they and I struggle with the realities of a SCORED legacy challenge for the first time!

Legacy Rules

Because I like to torture challenge myself the legacy will start with the Extreme Start during the winter on the 64×64 lot Hounds Head in Brindleton Bay. Seasons will be set to 14 days per season instead of the default 7 days. Per the rules now you do not need to buy the Knight of the Octagon Table Suit of Armor, however with the Extreme Start the household funds start at §0 simoleons. Doing this will gain me 1 precious point toward to total achievable points of 107 (108 if I had chosen the Ultra Extreme Start), however I didn’t want to live in the Del Sol Valley 64×64 lot. I live in California and there is no snow where I live so at least I get to enjoy it in the sims. I will say that I have played on the DSV lot and the sunsets are one of the most stunning in the game.

Succession Laws

  • Gender Law
    • Strict Equality: The founder may be of either gender, only children of the opposite gender to the founder are eligible to be named heir. The next heir must be a different gender than the previous heir.
  • Bloodline Law
    • Traditional: Children who are naturally born from the previous generation are eligible to be named heir. Adopted children are ineligible unless there are no natural born children, at which point they become eligible for the generation only.
  • Heir Law
    • Exemplar: At the beginning of the challenge name a singe trait, Perfectionist. This trait must be one of your founders three traits. Any eligible heir that has this trait will gain the title of heir. If a single generation has no children with this trait the first born eligible child will become heir. If more than one eligible child has the Exemplar trait than the oldest child will become heir. Democracy (voting for heir) may be used as well.
  • Species Law
    • Tolerant: The species of the child has no impact on their eligibility for heir status.
