1.12 The Beginning of the End

Gwen had mastered two skills, cooking and painting, and little Aislinn was such a friendly toddler she quickly maxed her communication skill with her creative skill not far behind. Soon she would be aging into a child, and start attending school. But before it was time to celebrate Aislinn’s childhood, it was the Night on the Town holiday.

Gwen had promised to rekindle the spark of romance between Mark and her. She went to work before the evening started and was able to gain a promotion to Imaginative Imagist. Once she got home she changed into her formal wear and spent some time at the vanity, making herself up for their special night

They chose Scales Seafood & Sushi for their date night on the town, with the holiday event all the restaurants were free tonight. It was the fanciest place either of them had ever eaten. Gwen fancied herself a bit of a food lover with her maxed cooking skill and Mark loved art in all forms, including food. The meal was splendid and they ended their dinner with a passionate kiss.

Mark lead Gwen across the skyway of Uptown to a secluded fountain, he didn’t want anyone butting in on their private moment. Mark and Gwen stared at each other seductively, they were each other’s soulmates. Mark gave Gwen a rose to show his love and devotion for her and their family.

Mark knelt down and reached into his pocket, he withdrew the same ring, his grandmother’s ring, that he had used to propose to Gwen before. He felt so connected to her, they knew everything about each other. Mark knew that he wanted a family and Gwen had already given him children, but he wanted them to be a family through marriage too, and hoped Gwen wanted that too. Mark gazed up at Gwen’s face adoringly as he knelt down, and Gwen returned his look of adoration with one of shock and horror. She frowned and closed her eyes, pushing the ring away with her hand…

OMG WTF!? I literally cant even right now! I had to stop playing when this happened, and to be honest I’m not sure I have the heart to continue. I don’t even understand why she refused him, they were soulmates, they knew everything about each other, including jobs, conversation was suggestive and very flirty, full romance and friendship bars too. I played just enough to finish the failed proposal and even writing this, it took me 3 days to get the guts up to do it, I’m crying ~~again~~.
